PRERANA Scholarship 2026 — Eligibility Criteria
General Eligibility (All Categories)
The applicant must be a resident and native of the state of Odisha. The applicant applying for the scholarship must belong to the Backward categories.
- Must be a permanent resident of Odisha
- Must be pursuing studies at post-matric level (Class 11 onwards) in a government or recognised private institution
- Must belong to SC, ST, OBC/SEBC, or EBC category
- Must not be availing any other scholarship that covers the full tuition fee
- Institution must be recognised by the state or central government
Category-Wise Income Limit
The income should not exceed Rs.2,50,000 per annum in the case of SC / ST students. The income should not exceed Rs.1,50,000 per annum in the case of OBC / SEBC students. The income should not exceed Rs.1,00,000 per annum in the case of EBC students.

PRERANA Scholarship Amount 2026
While applying for the Prerana scholarship in 2026, the following incentives are available: For General Classes, there is a 100 percent course fee reimbursement. Additionally, all students will be given the monthly maintenance amount.
The scholarship amount consists of two components:

It is necessary for interested and qualified candidates to apply in the online mode. The Official Authority has started accepting applications for (Fresh and Renewal applicants) for the year 2026 from 4 September 2026.

Selection Process
The selection procedure for the Prerana scholarship is based on merit.
