What is OTET?

The Odisha Teacher Eligibility Test (OTET) is a state-level qualifying examination conducted by the Board of Secondary Education (BSE), Odisha. It determines the eligibility of candidates who wish to become government teachers in Odisha for Classes 1 to 8.

• Paper I — for candidates who want to teach Classes 1 to 5 (Primary Level)
• Paper II — for candidates who want to teach Classes 6 to 8 (Upper Primary Level)
• Candidates can appear for one or both papers in the same session

Age Limit

• Minimum age: 21 years
• No upper age limit — candidates of any age above 21 can appear

Educational Qualification

Candidates must have one of the following:

• Senior Secondary (12th) with minimum 50% marks + 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed)
• Senior Secondary with 45% marks + 2-year D.El.Ed (as per NCTE norms 2002)
• Senior Secondary with 50% marks + 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed)
• Senior Secondary with 50% marks + 2-year Diploma in Education (Special Education)
• Graduation + 2-year D.El.Ed

Candidates must have one of the following:

• Graduation with minimum 50% marks + 1-year B.Ed
• Graduation with 45% marks + 1-year B.Ed (NCTE norms)
• Senior Secondary with 50% marks + 4-year B.El.Ed
• Senior Secondary with 50% marks + 4-year B.A/B.Sc.Ed or B.A.Ed/B.Sc.Ed
• Graduation with 50% marks + 1-year B.Ed (Special Education)

Admit card will be released on 9 June 2026 at bseodisha.ac.in:

2. Click on "OTET 2026 Admit Card" link
3. Click "Login"
4. Enter your Registration ID and Password
5. Admit card will appear on screen
6. Download and print — carry it to the exam centre

Carry to exam: Admit card + one valid photo ID (Aadhaar / Voter ID / Passport) — both are mandatory for entry.

How to Check OTET 2026 Result

After the exam, result will be published on bseodisha.ac.in:

2. Click on "OTET Result 2026" link
3. Enter your Roll Number and Mobile Number
4. Click Submit — your result and scorecard will appear
5. Download the scorecard and take a printout
