Knowing the OJEE syllabus and exam pattern for your course is the first step of preparation. The syllabus is different for each course, such as B.Pharm, Lateral Entry B.Tech, MBA, MCA and M.Tech. This guide gives the course-wise pattern and topics in simple language.
Status (15 October 2026): The OJEE 2027 brochure has not been released yet. The pattern and topics below are based on the official OJEE 2026 information brochure and previous years. The syllabus usually changes very little from year to year, so you can start preparing now. We will update this page when the 2027 brochure is out on ojee.nic.in.

OJEE Exam Pattern: Course-Wise Summary
The exam is a Computer-Based Test (CBT) with multiple-choice questions. The table is based on the OJEE 2026 brochure.

Marking scheme (as reported for recent years): +4 for each correct answer and -1 for each wrong answer. Marking can differ for some courses, so confirm it in the 2027 brochure.
Important: Different websites show slightly different patterns for some courses (for example MBA section splits, B.Pharm duration and M.Plan or M.Arch). We followed the official brochure. Always check the pattern for your course in the 2027 brochure.
OJEE B.Pharm Syllabus
- Subjects: Physics, Chemistry, and either Mathematics or Biology, at the 10+2 level.
- Your choice: Candidates attempt Physics and Chemistry plus one of Mathematics or Biology.
- Pattern: 120 questions in 2 hours (see the table above).
What to study:
- Physics: Class 11 and 12 topics such as mechanics, heat, optics, electricity and modern physics.
- Chemistry: Physical, organic and inorganic chemistry from Class 11 and 12.
- Mathematics (if chosen): Algebra, trigonometry, coordinate geometry, calculus and probability.
- Biology (if chosen): Botany and Zoology topics from the Class 11 and 12 syllabus.
Use CHSE and NCERT textbooks as your base and practise MCQs from each chapter.
OJEE LE B.Tech Syllabus (Lateral Entry)
For Diploma holders

- M.Tech (90 questions): Branch-specific questions (60), Engineering Mathematics (20) and Analytical and Logical Reasoning (10). The branch syllabus depends on the discipline you choose, such as Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Computer Science and others.
- M.Arch and M.Plan: Patterns differ by source. Check the 2027 brochure for the exact structure and topics.
Tip: Prepare from your B.Tech core subjects and revise engineering mathematics well.
OJEE M.Pharm and LE B.Pharm Syllabus
- M.Pharm: 60 questions from the B.Pharm course, in 1 hour.

When the second OJEE is held for vacant seats, a reduced pattern can be notified separately. For example, in 2026, reports said the B.Tech paper in 2nd OJEE had 60 questions in 1 hour on the JEE Main syllabus. Always read the notice for the specific cycle. How to Prepare for OJEE 2027
- Start with the official syllabus. Study only what is asked.
- Check the pattern for your course and practise in the same format and time limit.
- Solve previous year papers and take CBT-style mock tests weekly.
- Divide time by section. For example, in MBA, about 30 minutes per section in a 2-hour paper.
- Master basics first, then speed. Weak basics cost marks in every section.
- Manage negative marking. With -1 for a wrong answer, avoid wild guesses.
- Revise in the last 30 days with short notes and mock test analysis.
